Get Paid to Read Emails – Scam or Legit?
Hey everyone, it’s Tom here with ThisOnlineWorld.com. We’re all having a fantastic day today.
So, we check our phones or computers and read emails every single day. But what if you could turn your daily inbox check into an opportunity to earn real cash? Well, guys, there are a ton of videos going around lately saying you can earn one, two, and even $ per email you read right on Gmail. So, this obviously caught my attention, and I decided to investigate.
So, welcome back to another episode of Scam or Legit, where I test out popular money-making opportunities to see if they hold up. Now, there are some serious scams in this one but also some really cool, unique opportunities to make money using your email, so you don’t want to miss this one. Let’s get to it!
This Worldwide Side Hustle
The Viral Video Claims
So just starting off, I want to share one of the videos that caught my attention and kind of the video I’m following in all of this because I’ve seen these get-paid-to-read-email-type videos all over YouTube right now, and it’s time to debunk them. This is a recent video from the Cash Pro Channel, and the video is titled “One Email Equals $ – Get Paid to Read Emails Worldwide.”
Let me just start by saying that the beginning of this video and the first couple of minutes make absolutely no sense. I mean, the first few minutes are promoting some Android game that doesn’t even involve reading emails for money. So, again, I’m kind of confused. I don’t understand why this video has so many views, but I decided to investigate.
Investigating the Claims
Once you make it through this weird intro, Cash Pro’s video basically tells you about a couple of different websites where you can sign up, get emails sent to you every single day, and if you open and read those emails, you get paid. Now, this sounded too good to be true to me. So, what did I do? Well, I signed up, got a bunch of emails from these companies, and I’ll tell you guys how much I made and if the side hustle is actually worth it.
Paid Email Site
How Does This Side Hustle Work?
Alright, so getting paid to read emails – how does this side hustle actually work, and what are these websites all about? Well, as it turns out, there are some companies out there that are willing to pay you small amounts of money to open and read emails. But here’s the catch: you usually have to open the email and then click on something in the email if you actually want to get paid.
For example, you might get an email that says, “Hey, we’ll pay you X amount of dollars or pennies if you read this email, click on this link, and then click on an ad on that page.” Now, this is actually a form of click and advertisement fraud, which I find super funny. But there are companies out there that are buying human clicks on ads or different programs to make money for themselves, and they’re paying you a little bit of money in exchange for that click. So again, very sketchy, kind of funny, kind of odd.
Testing the First Paid Email Site
But does this side hustle actually pay you? And what are your options here? Well, the first popular site that pays people for reading emails is called Paid to Read Email. This is the first website I signed up for, and it’s also a website covered in Cash Pro’s video.
This website is super simple. It’s free to sign up for; you just need your Gmail, and you even get a $ sign-up bonus right off the bat. Sounds pretty sweet, right? Wrong. This website is such a waste of time. Let me just show you my account and kind of explain my experience with the site and why this side hustle is off to an awful start.
My Experience with Paid to Read Email
So, I signed up for Paid to Read Email on April 5th. I got my $ bonus and all, which is pretty nice. But since then, I’ve received a grand total of two emails. I’ve read them both and earned four pennies. So yeah, I’ve been a member of this site for a couple of weeks, received two emails, and made 4 cents. Looking pretty good!
Guys, really, Paid to Read Emails is more of a GPT site. It’s not really paying people that much for reading emails. I mean, if you look around the site, the main way to make money is by doing surveys, shopping online, or signing up for things. But the rates are honestly horrible, and it pays way less than leading GPT sites like Freecash or PrizeRebel. It barely has any good offers, and I think the “paid to read email” side of things is really just a clickbait hook. It’s not even sending you that many emails, and it’s paying you pennies for every email you get. Again, the $ bonus sounds great and all, but I don’t think you’ll ever be able to cash out with this site, so I think it’s a waste of time.
Second Paid Email Site
Testing FusionCash
The second paid-to-read email site I tried out is a website called FusionCash. FusionCash looks a bit better. You know, I signed up, and I got a $ sign-up bonus after completing a partner offer, which was signing up for Survey Junkie. So, you know, not a bad start.
FusionCash is another very popular paid-to-read email kind of website. It has its own daily cash email program that pays you with 2 cents for every single email you open per day. But here’s the thing – the emails you get are pretty strange, and they have some very specific instructions.
My Experience with FusionCash
For example, one of the emails I got basically involved clicking on an ad, following the page, then waiting 30 seconds on that page, and then just clicking something. This is clear click fraud. You’re being paid to do so, and it’s just such a silly industry, at least in my opinion.
But here’s the thing with FusionCash – it didn’t even work for me. I got these emails, clicked on them, waited, watched these ads, or went to weird websites, clicked on other things, and never actually got paid for doing anything. On top of that, after using the website for about five days and testing it out, I just got banned for seemingly no reason. No explanation, nothing.
The FusionCash Catch
FusionCash has all kinds of offers. You can get paid to click on different things, watch videos to earn, but you also need $25 to cash out, which is just an enormous amount in the world of GPT sites. So again, FusionCash has all these bells and whistles, it looks like you can just earn money by opening your Gmail and getting all these emails, but in reality, I think most people will either get banned or just not get paid.
