Do You Want to Know How You Can Earn Up to $ Per Hour by Doing AI Jobs on CrowdGen?
Do you want to know how you potentially can earn up to $ per hour by doing AI jobs on CrowdGen and if it’s really worth it? Then this video is for you. My name is Mikael and I’ve talked about a platform called Appen before. But Appen has actually changed into CrowdGen. And therefore, I wanted to record this CrowdGen review where I give you an update about how it works now and whether it, in my opinion, is now worth it or not.
So let’s just start by clarifying the name so you don’t get confused about that. But Appen is a platform that I talked about both on my website and here on my channel before, where you could do small tasks and earn some extra money, some quite nice money. And they used to have quite a lot of different jobs. But now they have changed the name and the whole branding. So if you go to the Appen website, you are actually redirected here to the CrowdGen website. And this video will now focus on what does CrowdGen now offer you as a way to earn and whether it is improved since it was Appen or what’s actually going on. And also, if you have any experiences both with Appen and then the change to CrowdGen, I would love to hear about your experiences also, so just feel free to share that in a comment below. But let’s start by going over who can join CrowdGen.
Who Can Join CrowdGen?
As you can see on the website, it says that it is in many countries. It doesn’t say exactly which ones, but basically, it is available more or less in all countries. And you don’t need any specific background or anything like that to get started here. But of course, there are some limitations because they do have certain requirements depending on the exact jobs you are looking for. In my opinion and experience so far, there are quite a few more limitations than what it used to have when it was called Appen. At least how it has been after the change, at the time of recording this video. It’s still fairly new, so there might be a lot of other optimizations happening later. But anyways, let’s now talk about which types of jobs you can do here and also how you will actually sign up because those two are connected and that can be a little bit confusing.
How It Works
So the thing about signing up for CrowdGen is that right now on the website, there’s only a sign-in button but not actually a sign-up button. So if you’re not a member, you can’t find a place to really sign up. You might think here then you click to get started and then it actually takes you here where it has a button that says earn remotely now. And then you click this and it opens up a list of the jobs. So you can’t first sign up. You actually have to go and find the jobs here and then apply for the jobs as a part of the signup process. So that’s just something to be aware of. That is not how it used to be when it was called Appen, but who knows if it will change again. So that I can’t tell. We’ll have to wait and see. But anyways, this leads us to how to actually find the jobs here and the types of jobs and how much you can earn from them also.
Types of Jobs Available on CrowdGen
But it can be a little bit confusing to get a full overview of the type of tasks here, so we’ll just jump back to the landing page here where you can see examples of the different types of jobs there. You see here these fact-check videos, images, or complete variety of tasks online. Improve virtual reality technology. Improve road safety. This is in a specific city at this point. Here they evaluate text-to-speech audio, so it’s all kinds of these things where you, in a way, help train AI. That’s the majority of the tasks. So you can see some quite interesting ones you can participate in. But when you then go back to this list, you can see the current available ones and this is of course updated regularly. So what you see here might not be available when you try to apply, and there will likely be others available. So that’s just something to be aware of. But I do like that you can just search for locations.
How to Filter Jobs by Location
So for example, if you just want remote, which most people that watch my videos are interested in, then you can just choose that. And most of the jobs here are also remote in my experience. You can also choose the location, so you can choose the ones available in your country so you don’t have to filter through everything there. Also here, what type of tasks it is and the work type here. There’s not really much you can choose from here. So basically, you would just have to scroll through here and see the different examples of what you can do. But definitely, it makes sense to filter here with your location because that just makes it a lot easier. No need for you to filter through a ton of jobs that are available in countries where you can’t even join from.
Applying for Jobs on CrowdGen
And when you find one where the title sounds interesting or relevant for you, you would just need to click and then you can read all the details about it here, what you would be doing, what your qualifications would be, and all these different things here. And in this case here, for example, you can see this would be up to $ per hour. So I do like that they say right away the range of what you can earn like the lowest and the highest so you know right away whether it’s something you find worth it or not. And then you would just need to click to actually apply for it. And that’s then where you need to fill out, attach your resume, fill out all the details here, and this is of course something you need to spend a bit of time on because you are actually applying for these jobs here even though some of them are just project-based or smaller.
So you do need to put some time and effort in and you can of course have a general resume and CV here. But I do recommend that you would adjust it a little bit so it fits the exact job description. You can fairly easily do that so that’s something that’s definitely worth doing because then that will increase your chances of getting these jobs. And you can just go through and see the ones there. And for example, this one here is up to $ per hour there. That’s the highest that I have seen. I’m not saying that there never are jobs that pay more and of course, how much you will get paid also depends on your country. In some countries, where the cost of living and all that is lower, then usually you would also earn less. That’s just how it is with remote jobs in general. But they do have a decent amount of tasks available here depending on where you live and you can also earn decently. Of course, it does take some effort. Also, the whole application process will take some effort.
Payout Methods
But let’s also talk about how you can then get paid because that’s of course also important to consider before deciding whether you should apply here or not. So when you click to learn more about how you can get paid, then you are actually taken to the FAQ section or the help section of Appen, which it used to be. So there are some things here where it seems they haven’t fully updated yet. But here it says this where you can get paid via Payoneer and PayPal. And there are some things here, again, where it doesn’t seem like they have fully updated it yet. And I have heard some people say that they slightly complain about it, that it doesn’t work as well as it used to be with the invoices and all that. So I’m assuming this is because of this change there, who knows. We’ll have to wait and see.
But again, like I always say when I record videos about different ways to earn, there can sometimes be some differences also in how you can get paid depending on where you live. So always make sure once you sign up, once you get started to check exactly which options it offers for you. But in general, when you can get paid, for example, via Payoneer and PayPal, then there’s always a way to get paid in cash, which is definitely nice. And that it doesn’t matter really where you live because Payoneer and PayPal, PayPal is not available in all countries but then Payoneer is usually available in many of the countries where PayPal is not.
Final Verdict
Is CrowdGen Worth It?
To sum it all up, I do think CrowdGen is interesting, but I do think it’s also a little bit confusing after they’ve changed it here from Appen. And Appen was also not the most user-friendly site as it was, and then this change here, it definitely seems that there are some things that should still be optimized. But you can earn some nice extra money. There are some decent jobs here, but it does take some time commitment for sure. So it’s not super easy money or anything like that. And I’ll keep an eye on it and see how it develops here after this change into CrowdGen.
