Watch Google Ads for Money? The Truth Behind This Viral Side Hustle (Scam or Legit?)

Hey Everyone, It’s Tom Here with WebMonkey.com

If you’re all having a fantastic day today…

Earn Money by Watching Google Ads – Fact or Fiction?

Earn $ per Google ad that you watch. Earn $ every minute just by watching Google ads. Earn $, a week by watching Google ads on your phone.

Guys, these videos have been popping up all over YouTube lately, with a lot of content creators saying you can make a lot of passive income just by watching Google ads in your spare time.

But can you really watch Google ads for money, or is this side hustle too good to be true?

Scam or Legit – Putting Viral Side Hustles to the Test

Well, welcome back to another episode of Scam or Legit, where I put viral side hustles to the test.

Now, in this one, it’s a bit of a special episode because I’m covering two different videos from two separate channels that cover this viral Google ad side hustle going around right now.

And you know, as someone who used to run a phone farm back in college that watched video rewards all the time to earn money, I know a thing or two about side hustles. This one is full of some pretty serious red flags but also some interesting points.

New Episode of Scam or Legit – Let’s Get to It!

How This Side Hustle Works

Starting off, let me introduce this kind of viral ‘watch Google ads for money’ side hustle just so you guys know what I’m talking about. Then, we can dive into the side hustle, and I’ll show you my earnings and if it actually works.

In this one, I’m actually covering three different videos from two different channels. Two of the videos are from a channel called CashProo, and one of the videos is from a guy called Dave Nick Daily.

The Premise of These Videos

The premise behind all of these three videos is pretty similar. But I’ll explain how they kind of work in a nutshell.

As it turns out, there are websites out there that pay you for watching ads or clicking on ads. I’ve covered some of these websites before in my video on how to watch ads for money.

According to these content creators, you can:

  • Sign up on these websites
  • Start watching Google ads in your spare time
  • Earn money with your phone, computer, or even an idle device

They claim that in some cases, you can earn $1, $2, or even more per minute just for watching videos.

Testing the Websites Mentioned in These Videos

I tested the websites mentioned in these viral side hustle videos to see if they are legit or just another scam.

1. Cointiply

One of the first websites mentioned in CashPro’s video is Cointiply.

I’ve actually covered Cointiply before—it’s a popular ‘Get Paid To’ (GPT) website. It has:

  • A Bitcoin faucet that lets you earn small amounts of free Bitcoin every hour
  • GPT elements like surveys, games, and app downloads
  • Paid ads where you get rewarded for clicking and watching ads

My Cointiply Experiment

CashPro’s video claims you can earn hundreds of dollars per day just by watching ads on Cointiply.

So, I signed up and tested it myself using PixelPoint TTV, a video reward partner that plays 2-3 minute long videos. These are random videos about video games, food, and entertainment.

Results?
  • I watched dozens of videos.
  • I let my laptop run with the sound on in the background while I went out.
  • I didn’t earn anything.

Even if PixelPoint paid me through Cointiply, the earnings would be fractions of pennies per videocertainly not $1 per video, as these side hustle videos claim.

2. PTCShare

The second website mentioned in CashPro’s video is PTCShare (Pay-To-Click Share).

Again, CashPro’s video claims you can earn $1 every minute using this website.

My PTCShare Experiment

  • Signed up and explored the platform.
  • Earned small amounts of BAP, the site’s virtual currency.
  • Had to solve CAPTCHAs and start timers before getting paid.
Results?
  • Earned fractions of pennies per ad.
  • Watching videos was tedious and time-consuming.
  • After watching a bunch of videos, I earned $0.02.

So, where is this $1 per minute CashPro was talking about?

3. PaidVerts

The third website comes from Dave Nick Daily’s video, and it’s called PaidVerts.

In his video, Nick claims you can earn $1 per minute by watching Google ads. He references multiple sites, but PaidVerts is his main focus.

My PaidVerts Experiment

  • Signed up and started watching ads.
  • The website looked almost identical to PTCShare.
  • Earnings were similar to PTCShare—fractions of pennies.
Results?
  • At best, you might make $0.01 to $1 per hournowhere near $1 per minute.

Verdict: Scam or Legit?

So, is this a scam or legit?

I tested three websites mentioned in viral side hustle videos. The result?

🚨 SCAM. 🚨

I used to run a phone farm back in college with 9 different devices running video rewards all day. I was making $100-200 a month, but let me tell you:

You’re NOT going to make $1 per minute.
You’re lucky if you even make $1 per day.

These sites have declined in quality over the years. Yet, CashPro and Nick continue pushing this clickbait narrative about making hundreds of dollars per day.

Better Alternatives to Earn Passive Income

If you really want to make passive income, here are better alternatives:

1. Data-Sharing Apps

  • Honeygain & Pawns – Earn passive income by sharing your unused internet bandwidth.
  • MobileXpression & Nielson Mobile Panel – Earn money by sharing your phone’s data.

2. Automatic Cashback Rewards

  • Use cashback apps like Pogo, Bridge Money, and others.

These apps actually pay without forcing you to watch ads all day.

Conclusion

So, this was another Scam or Legit test. Unfortunately, this Google ads side hustle is a scam.

I know these tests have been flops lately, but there are just too many fake side hustle videos making outrageous claims.

I hope this video helps save you time from trying these sketchy sites. If you want real passive income ideas, check out WebMonkey.com for guides on how to make and save money.
