Is Apex Focus Group Really Worth It?
Potential Earnings vs. Time Wasted
Is Apex Focus Group really a way to potentially earn up to $1,000 per study you participate in, or is it a waste of time? My name is Mikael, and I’ve tested hundreds of different ways to make money online. Many viewers have asked me for a review of Apex Focus Group because it looks like it has some great opportunities to participate in studies and focus groups. In this video, I will explain both the pros and the cons so you know exactly what to expect and can then decide if this is the right opportunity for you or not.
What is Apex Focus Group?
When you first come to Apex Focus Group, it looks like a great opportunity. You can just see you can get paid to participate in focus groups near you and also different clinical trials. You can see here what they do. They basically put you in contact with these different market research groups so you can earn nice extra money. It can be, for example, focus groups, clinical trials, and even paid survey panels, they say. But let’s dive a little bit deeper into the opportunities you can find here and also what happens if you decide to join.
How It Works
Clinical Trials Section
So when you’re on the website, for example, you can see they have a section called clinical trials. If you then go there, you can see that you can, for example, earn up to $1,000 for these paid clinical trials. There are many different studies here where you can see what you potentially can earn. One is about migraines, another about asthma. They have a big list here of these clinical trials. But then suddenly, you also see ads popping up. That’s one thing I really don’t like about the usability here. Also, when you click these links, they take you to something else. It’s not as such on Apex Focus Group that you will earn. In my personal experience, many of the links that you actually click take you to something else, something that’s not so relevant. It doesn’t seem like they have very good quality control to make sure that their links are updated with the correct info. As you can see, there are just ads everywhere on the page. They pop up once in a while, and even ads at the bottom here. So you can see it seems like a lot of it is about them trying to make money from ads, which is a little bit strange and not so user-friendly.
Focus Groups Section
But, for example, they also have, if you go back here, because you can’t even go back from that section with the clinical trials, you jump back here, and then you can see, for example, the focus groups and some examples of that. Then you can see here, for example, $100, $200, $300 for all these different ones here. But again, like the links are not really relevant or updated. For example, if I click this one here, you can see then I’m just taken here to Survey Monkey because this survey is currently closed. So you can see that it’s not updated at all. And that’s the same here. For example, I just clicked another random one here, and again this is also closed. So they don’t really keep it updated. You can’t count on this here.
Then you say, “Oh, maybe it’s because you have to join, and then you will get an opportunity.” Let’s see what happens if you try to join. If you click the join button here, you’re taken to this page where it says that you can earn up to $1,000 per week, which of course sounds great. They describe basic general information about focus groups. They don’t give you anything particular. They just say that you can earn up to this. You can see here for multi-session studies, and then you think maybe if I apply here, it’s a specific study you’re applying for, but it is actually not. You are just signing up here, but not for a member area. There is no member area, so you cannot log in and then get access to different studies. What will happen is that you will just give your email address, and you will just get on an email list where you will then once in a while get promotional offers for platforms that they are paid to promote. Again, it doesn’t seem like great information, really, in my personal opinion.
What It Really Offers

What would you actually get out of using something like Apex Focus Group? So I have many years of experience earning online. I’ve tested hundreds of different methods, and for me, it’s clear that Apex Focus Group is not as such a platform where you can go and sign up and actually get access to paid focus groups. It is more of an aggregator that has tried to collect different information so they can get paid. First of all, for having ads on the sites and then also for referring you to different clinical trials and focus groups.
Final Verdict
Is Apex Focus Group Worth Your Time?
Nothing wrong with that if you’re just transparent about it. But the problem, in my personal opinion, is that the information you get here is not transparent. For example, when you try to join, it’s basically just an email list you join, but they’re not clear about that. They make it look like it’s a way to earn $1,000 per week, which is, you know, it’s not really right. You just sign up for an email list, and in general, there’s no information here to help you make decisions about what options you should participate in and which ones are for you or not. Also, as you can see, it’s not kept updated. Many of the links are just not working anymore. So overall, I just find the information here a little bit useless, to be completely honest and transparent. But that’s just my opinion. Maybe you have a different opinion, but definitely, you need to be aware of what to expect so you don’t think that you can just go and join, sign up for an email list you’re not aware of, and then think that you can earn $1,000 or will get access to studies that can pay you $1,000 or more.
Is It Worth Using?
So personally, it’s not a platform that I will be using because I just don’t think the information here is worth it.
