Hey everyone, it’s Tom here with webmonkey.com
I hope you’re all having a fantastic day today. Now, pretty much everyone wants to make a little bit of side cash, but it can be pretty difficult to find the time sometimes to actually start a new side hustle. School, work, and life’s responsibilities can take up a ton of time, and it can sometimes feel impossible to actually start a new side hustle that delivers results. That’s why in today’s video, I’m covering six lazy side hustle ideas and ways to make money online you can use to get ahead financially, even if you’re short on time. Some of these ideas genuinely start working in about seconds and are perfect if you want a lazy side hustle, and one of these lazy ideas has made someone over $, all by posting pictures of salami on coffee mugs on the internet. You definitely don’t want to miss this one. There are some super creative ideas in here. Let’s get to it.
Lazy Idea 1: Sell Your Internet Bandwidth
All right, guys, so starting off with this first lazy online side hustle, it’s one I’ve covered on the channel before, and that’s selling your internet bandwidth to earn passive income. Now, as it turns out, there are plenty of companies out there that want to buy your unused internet bandwidth from you and basically let you make money off of your IP address. These companies essentially operate a network of VPNs and so they’re buying residential IP networks from people and basically letting you rent out your bandwidth to earn passive income. Now, people use different IPs all the time for things like watching gated content or market research, so again, you can basically rent out your internet to make a bit of side cash.
Companies to Get Started With
Now, there are many new and popular companies in this space, and I’ve covered this topic plenty of times on this channel, but here are two companies you can get started with.
- Honeygain: This one lets you share your bandwidth for PayPal cash and cash out at $. I’ve earned over $ of Honeygain to date, and it also has a nice $ signup bonus.
- Pawns: This is another app like Honeygain that pays you for your bandwidth, and it also lets you make money by playing games and answering surveys. It has fast $ cash outs with gift cards, PayPal money, and even free Bitcoin.
There are other newer players in the space as well that I haven’t really talked about, like PacketShare or PacketStream. Again, I have a video on this channel about all of the ways you can sell your internet bandwidth for passive income that I’ll put in the card above.
Potential Earnings
Now, again, this lazy side hustle is really not going to make anyone rich, but if you live in a major city and you have a pretty fast internet speed, you could maybe make $ a month, maybe a little bit more, which can add up over the course of a year.
Lazy Idea 2: Etsy Print-On-Demand Selling
All right, guys, and the second lazy online side hustle I wanted to cover is Etsy print-on-demand selling. This one I have a crazy store I want to share with you guys. In fact, in this section, I’m going to share an example I found of someone who’s made over $, with one of the lowest effort, laziest side hustles I’ve probably ever seen. But just in case you’re unfamiliar with print-on-demand, let me quickly explain how it works, and then I’ll explain how it relates to Etsy and why this is a massive opportunity.
What is Print-on-Demand (POD)?
Print-on-demand (POD) is a business model where you essentially create unique designs, add them to products, and then sell them on a storefront like Etsy or Shopify. Except when you make a sale, your POD manufacturing partner creates and ships the product to the customer for you. One of the main advantages of print-on-demand is similar to dropshipping in that you’re not dealing with inventory or manufacturing or shipping and logistics yourself. You can spend all of your time focusing on creating new products to sell and marketing your storefront, which is why it’s very appealing to a lot of people.
Why Etsy?
Etsy is also a very popular print-on-demand marketplace because you can actually get traffic on Etsy’s marketplace. You don’t have to necessarily be an expert at driving traffic to your storefront yourself, so it’s quite beginner-friendly, and it’s also very cheap to get started.
Example of a Successful Store
Now, I actually started this side hustle back in college, and I sold meme mugs on Etsy using Printify, which is my favorite print-on-demand partner, and I actually got two sales—like it did work. I sold meme mugs, and people found me on Etsy organically. Although I got a copyright infringement strike and was basically shut down, my personal experience was a bit of a bust, but the whole mechanism does work. Let me just show you guys really quickly this Etsy shop I found that’s made over $, in sales with one of the laziest methods I’ve ever seen.
The shop is called Sassy Label Shop, and they sell really niche and weird meme merchandise, mostly on coffee mugs and t-shirts. And I mean, taking a look, you can see their products. They have the Slammy mug, the tax evasion lobster shirt, weird cat meme shirts, and all kinds of frankly bizarre memes and products up for sale. But the crazy thing is that this shop has over , sales, and with an average product price of about $, this is over $, in revenue.
How They Did It
But here’s the crazy thing: most of these products can be designed right on Canva in like seconds. I mean, look at the Slammy mug. They made thousands of dollars selling a picture of salami on a coffee mug that they just ripped from Instagram or from a meme they found online and then put it on Etsy and are actually getting sales. Etsy also says that the shop was last updated on the 15th of September, and I think this means this seller has not added new products to this shop in about two years, which is crazy because they basically got a catalog of lazy items, put it on Etsy, and have made over , sales, which I think is amazing. And again, these guys are definitely using Printify or some kind of POD partner to manufacture and fulfill this. So once they set it up, it’s basically free passive income. You can also do this for so many niches—pop culture, politics, memes like this store has been doing. So again, you have tons of options, and I’ll actually be linking my print-on-demand Etsy guide down below if you guys want a more in-depth explanation of how to get started.
