Introduction
Hey everyone, it’s Tom here with ThisOnlineWorld.com. Hope you’re all having a fantastic day today. In this video, I’m sharing six legit and high-paying side hustles that any teenager can start. Some of the side hustles I’m going to cover are booming right now and have massive potential for right now and beyond. So, if you want to get ahead of the pack and start making money now, this is definitely the video for you.
One of the side hustles I’m covering in this video also currently pays me over $ a month. And again, there are some pretty creative side hustles in here that have a lot of potential right now that you might not have heard of. So, you definitely want to watch until the end. Let’s get into the side hustles!
TikTok Shops
TikTok Shop Specialist
Right, so starting off, my favorite side hustle for teenagers right now is to become a TikTok shop specialist. Let me explain this one because it’s pretty niche, but it has massive potential.
TikTok is all the rage these days, but the platform is evolving quickly, and it’s not just a place to find silly dances or workout tips anymore. In fact, TikTok is actually making a massive push to become more of an e-commerce platform, and it’s doing this in a big way.
In September of this year, TikTok released TikTok Shops, providing creators a way to creatively market and sell their products and brands right on TikTok. If you use TikTok, you might have seen this feature or maybe you’re thinking, “Oh, this doesn’t sound that interesting or that massive of an opportunity,” but this is part of the future of e-commerce, and it’s here to stay.
Ways to Get Started
Being ahead of the curve and an early adopter can be very lucrative, and this is why I like this teenager side hustle idea. There are quite a few options for you to get started:
- Grow your own TikTok theme page in a niche you’re interested in. You can start creating content about fitness, beauty products, fashion, travel, etc. Once you grow an audience, you can launch your own TikTok shop and sell products through TikTok drop shipping to your audience.
- You could sell TikTok products with a print-on-demand model by working with a manufacturing partner. You upload your designs to products and sell them through your TikTok shop.
- Freelance as a TikTok shop specialist: People are already offering services to optimize TikTok shops or help others set one up.
Amazon Influencer Program
Become an Amazon Influencer
The second side hustle I wanted to talk about is to become an Amazon Influencer. Sticking with the e-commerce theme, I think this is another great opportunity for teenagers, and it’s really exciting. Amazon has an influencer program called the Amazon Influencer Program, where you can promote Amazon products via your own storefront, and you’ll earn commissions when people purchase those products.
How the Program Works
You get to promote products in a variety of ways:
- Live stream shopping
- Creating videos or image posts for products you want to promote
However, to join this program, you need to have a decent social media following, such as on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok.
Getting Started
You could start by creating theme pages on Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube about a niche you enjoy (fashion, fitness, hobbies, etc.). As you build your social following, you can start affiliate marketing and eventually promote products through your Amazon storefront, earning commissions.
While building these pages will take time, it’s a valuable asset that can help you monetize in various ways. Plus, you’ll learn essential digital marketing skills!
Short Form Video Editor
Short Form Video Editing
The third teenager side hustle I wanted to talk about is becoming a short-form video editor. This is a growing field with tons of potential, especially for teenagers.
A recent study shows that as many as % of consumers want to see more online video content from brands. Video content is here to stay, and companies are going to keep spending money on creating video content to market to consumers. This means there’s a lot of money for video content editors.
Why It’s a Great Side Hustle
There’s an increasing demand for viral, snappy short-form content on platforms like TikTok and Instagram. Anyone can learn how to create this type of content, and you don’t even need to be a professional video editor. Tools like AI platforms (e.g., Opus Clips) can help create short-form videos from long-form content.
You could even offer to create a free short-form video for clients to show your value.
Sell Candy
Selling Snacks and Drinks
The fourth teenager side hustle is a simple one but very effective: selling things like candy, lemonade, or drinks at school, sporting events, or local events. It’s a hustle that has proven to work time and time again.
While it may seem basic, selling items like water bottles or candy at events is a high-margin business that requires very little capital to start. You could even reinvest your profits into more popular or expensive items down the road.
Scaling the Business
You can try it with basic goods to start and later branch into online reselling. I’ve seen stories of teenagers making nearly $1 million reselling products from places like Walmart on Amazon.
Online Surveys
Answer Surveys for Money
The fifth side hustle is another simple one: answer surveys for money. Survey sites won’t make anyone rich, but they’re a quick and easy way for teenagers to make a little extra cash. If you just want to make $10–$20 to buy a video game or some clothes, it’s a great way to start.
Some of my favorite survey sites that let teenagers sign up include:
- Branded Surveys
- Prime Opinion
- Swagbucks
- Prize Rebel
These sites offer rewards for completing surveys, and they’re flexible, so you can work whenever you want.
Blogging
Start a Blog
The sixth and final teenager side hustle I want to cover is blogging. Now, before you roll your eyes and think, “Blogging is for old people,” let me tell you why I think blogging is one of the best side hustles for teenagers.
I started my blog, ThisOnlineWorld.com, back in 2017. At the time, I was working in a digital marketing agency, and my blog was just a way for me to write about side hustles. Over time, my blog started paying for my groceries, rent, and eventually, I became a full-time blogger.
Now, my blog makes over $10,000 per month through display ads and affiliate marketing.
Why Blogging is a Great Side Hustle
Blogging doesn’t require any special knowledge or technical skills to get started. You can start with a simple WordPress blog and a cheap theme, and you’re off to the races. The key is to choose a niche you’re passionate about and create compelling content.
The best part about blogging is the skills you’ll develop along the way. You’ll learn about content writing, WordPress development, and digital marketing, which can help you land high-paying jobs in the future.
Conclusion
That does it for six of my favorite teenager side hustles! Hopefully, one of the ideas in this video stands out to you or inspires you to start making money. The internet is an amazing place where anyone can make money, no matter how old you are.
