Introduction
I came to the Villa with my family to spend a couple of days, you know, get away from the city, and I thought it’s a perfect time to show you my tech travel backpack. Now, this is a new backpack that I’ve got, and I’ve not done one of these videos in a very long time. Before we get to the backpack and what’s inside, it is time for chai. So, Sua, can you please get me my cup of chai? That’s my wife getting me my chai. So, like, what else do you need out in the nature, enjoying life, and having chai, right? And here we go. Do you want to say hi to the video?
Why I Chose This Backpack
Now, this is a new backpack that I have got, and there are very specific reasons why I chose this backpack. So, I was looking for a new backpack for a very long time, and I wanted something that will be enough for me when I travel to events and, you know, small trips. I wanted a backpack that could carry my tech and my clothes for a couple of days. Last time, I did a mistake of going for a smaller backpack, so it could carry my tech but not my clothes. That’s why I did not want to make that mistake again. I wanted a backpack that could carry everything for a day trip because that’s my normal travel. I go to events or some small vacations. I’m going for a bigger trip; I will take a cabin bag with me, and then my backpack will only have tech. But if I go for 3-4 days, I wanted a backpack for that. I hope you understand.
The Brand and Pricing
Now, this one is from a company called Fur Jaden. I found this on Amazon. This video is not sponsored by Fur Jaden. I have bought this backpack myself. I found it on Amazon, and the price is somewhere around 2,000 rupees. Now, I did buy the Moco Bara backpack before this, which was for 3,000, but I did not find that worth it at all. It came to my place, I saw the quality, and it was not worth 3,000 rupees, so I returned that backpack and got this one instead. This one feels way more premium for less the price. That’s why I kept it, and there’s one more reason, that is because of the USB ports.
USB Ports: A Convenient Feature
Two USB Ports for Charging
This backpack has two USB ports, one type C and one type A. Now, if you may ask, why do we need a USB port in a backpack? That would be a very good question. That is because we can use the USB port to charge our devices. Basically, you can connect a power bank, you know, inside the backpack using the cables that are provided. So, there are two cables here, one is a type C cable and one is a type A cable. You can connect these cables to the power bank and then use the ports on the outside to charge your devices so that it is a bit more convenient.
Power Bank of Choice
Let me quickly keep the cables inside so that I can show you the power bank of choice. All right, so this is the power bank of choice from Anker. This is a 20,000 mAh power bank. It also has fast charging via the USB type-C port and an extra type A port. Now, the reason why I went with this power bank is because it is from Anker, one of the best brands out there, a trustable brand, and also has a built-in type-C cable. Where is the type-C cable? Well, it is built into the lanyard. I can just, you know, remove this, and this is the built-in type-C cable. So, in case I forget a type-C cable, I do have it readily available on the power bank itself. That is super convenient. I am going to keep it back inside, and this backpack also has a dedicated slot for the power bank because there is a cable inside. So, yeah, that is super convenient. I can also put some extra stuff in here, like earbuds or some, you know, smaller tech items. I have not done that, but there is a possibility.
Charging Equipment and Earbuds
Charging Brick for All Devices
If you come to the front of the bag, there are two chains over here. In this one, I have my charging brick. Ah, yeah, here we go. So, this is one brick that I use for all my devices, that is my MacBook, my iPhone, my other phone, my earbuds, my camera, my mic, everything is type-C, and I use this one brick to charge everything. So, yeah, only one brick I have to carry. Like, this is the future that we were waiting for – everything type-C, everything fast charging, and yeah, there it is. I think it is 67W. Yeah, 67W charger from Anker. Again, I’ve bought this, not sponsored at all, and it’s a very good charger. I think it is a GAN charger, if I’m not mistaken. Yeah, it is a GAN charger. This is the charging brick, so it is, you know, kept here.
Earbuds of Choice
And over here in this pocket, I have my earbuds of choice. So, these are the OnePlus, you know, buds. I have been using them on a daily basis for the past few months, and honestly, it has been an incredible experience. I feel that you should not spend more than 2,000 to 5,000 rupees on your buds because this is proof that 2,000 to 5,000 rupees can get you 80% of the features out there. You don’t need to spend 15,000 rupees on Airpods Pro; 2,000 to 5,000 rupees is enough. So, yeah, the earbuds of choice are OnePlus buds. Now, I’m going to keep them inside and let’s move on.
Main Compartments for Clothes and Tech
Clothes and Camera Gear
Now, if you come to the main compartments, there are two main compartments. This one, you know, big compartment over here where I have kept all my clothes. I don’t know if you can see it. I’ll just remove one of the clothing items. This is a T-shirt, and there are a lot of clothes inside over here. Now, these clothes are enough for a 3-4 day travel or even a 5-day travel because there is still a lot of space inside over here. I can add more clothes and more tech items. Now, inside this, I also keep my, you know, mini camera that is the one that I’m shooting with. That is the DJI Osmo Pocket 2. That goes inside here, and also my mic, which is the DJI Wireless Mic. So those two things are there inside here, and they fit very, very easily, and they also have some cushioning because of the clothes. So, I do like that, and I keep them over here. You don’t want to see clothes because they’re just basic clothes. I am a basic minimalist person.
Hidden Cardholder Slot
Now, inside over here, there is a hidden chain. If I open this chain, I have kept my cardholder. These have IDs and important cards that I need while I travel, so that goes over here. I don’t carry a lot of cash inside this. I have like 500 or maybe 1,000 rupees cash for emergencies. Otherwise, I’m using UPI and cards everywhere. And also, this smart payment ring. I have made a dedicated video about this ring. You can watch that. A link will be available somewhere here. So, this ring, cards, and UPI, and some emergency cash. But yeah, this cardholder is from a company I’m still rocking it. Currently out of stock, maybe will come into stock very soon. I will update about that on Twitter and Instagram. So, that is about it for this main big compartment: clothes, camera, mic, and wallet.
Secret Compartment and Smaller Items
Secret Compartment for Important Items
Now comes the main compartment on the backside. If I open this up, it can open like this. Okay, let me just do this. Yeah, it can open like this flat, and here I have a couple of things. First up is this little pouch. I will show you what is in here in just a bit. And then comes my laptop. That is the MacBook Air M2. Yes, I’m still using the MacBook Air M2. It’s a great laptop, one of the best out there, and still works very well in 2023. Gets all my job done while I’m traveling. Absolutely love this laptop. So, yeah, this is the laptop of choice. Sometimes I will carry my iPad, but not regularly because, as I said in the previous video, iPads are actually not that useful. They are useful for specific people, not for me because now I’m using a folding smartphone, so I can just, you know, open that up and a tablet is available for use. So, I don’t carry my iPad that much.
Tech Organizer Pouch
Now comes this one. I’m just going to close the backpack. I will keep it here, and here we go. Let’s open this little pouch. It has all my smaller tech items. I hope you can see this. It has all my cables, memory cards, SSD card readers, you name it. Like, every small tech item, even a SIM card ejector tool is in there. I always carry this with me because it’s a very good way to organize all these things. We generally will get lost inside the bag, and this is a super affordable organizer, not expensive, around 200 or 300 rupees maybe, even cheaper. So, yeah, if you can buy an organizer, do that because it will most definitely sort your life.
Final Thoughts on My Tech Travel Backpack
That is kind of it. I don’t have anything else in my backpack. Sometimes, I will carry an umbrella in the rainy season or maybe like a water bottle if I have to, but generally, I don’t do that. Like, sometimes I’ll carry them, but I don’t do that. And as you can see, this is a big backpack. It has a lot of compartments, and I’ve not filled them completely because I am that person who doesn’t travel heavy. I like to travel light and keep some space in my backpack in case I want to buy something to the place I go. I can buy that and accommodate that inside the backpack itself, and if not, then I just have, you know, a lighter weight on my shoulders.
Now, there’s one more compartment over here on the backside. I just want to show you that. It’s kind of a secret compartment. Here, you can put some cash, maybe your wallet, your passport, whatever you want to put. You can put it here. Very useful and very nice pocket.
Now, I also have a couple of pens. I forgot to bring them on this trip, but yes, I have a couple of pens and maybe like a small notebook that I carry if I know I want to take notes. So, yeah, that all is also there. Probably will go in here in the front pocket or with the power bank, you know, over here. So, yeah, that’s about it. This was my tech travel backpack, or rather, this is my tech travel backpack.
