Samsung One UI 7.0 Android 15 – BETA UPDATE!

Samsung One UI 7.0 Android 15 - BETA UPDATE!

Misinformation on One UI 7.0 Beta

Samsung fans on X, formerly Twitter, might have noticed a post claiming that registrations for the One UI 7.0 beta program are now open. But is that really true? No, it’s not. This appears to be yet another attempt by an ex-user who has previously been caught sharing false information about upcoming Samsung devices to gather some views.

Manipulated Image

This user manipulated an image to make it look like Samsung had posted a One UI 7.0 beta program banner in the Samsung Members app, likely to tease Samsung fans. Each lit Al awaiting the chance to try out One UI 7.0 and Android 15, that’s the impression we get, as the altered image includes a message asking, “Aren’t you all interested in the 17 beta?”

Delayed Beta Launch

Although a harmless prank isn’t necessarily a bad thing, Samsung has taken longer than usual to launch the One UI 7.0 beta compared to past One UI beta releases. Fans are already on edge and likely don’t want to get their hopes up over nothing. While the One UI 7.0 beta update is expected to go live later this year, the stable release will launch with the Galaxy S25 series next year.

Anticipated Changes

One UI 7.0 is set to bring more significant changes to the user experience than any prior version, perhaps since the very first release in 2018, which is probably why Samsung is taking extra time to finalize it.

Early Insights and Leaks

The One UI 7 beta hasn’t officially launched, but someone managed to get their hands on it early and revealed some details. A YouTube video shows a Galaxy S20 Ultra running the unreleased One UI 7, featuring redesigned icons, interface adjustments, and plenty more updates.

UI Enhancements

YouTuber Mobile Wala unveiled the One UI 7 interface and its features before the official release. The updated software introduces fresh UI elements, smooth and stable animations, dynamic new icons, and much more to explore.

Redesigned Icons and Widgets

Samsung has refreshed several app icons with noticeable differences from those showcased at SDC 24. The home screen now includes new widget types packed with rich features, and the notification panel sports a redesigned large pill-shaped layout.

Improved Quick Settings Panel

The Quick Settings panel in One UI 7 has become more polished and practical compared to One UI 6. Samsung has enhanced background transparency and blur effects, making the components and layout feel even more dynamic.

Camera Settings Accessibility

Samsung Camera’s in-app settings are now more accessible than in One UI 7, with all key toggles and switches conveniently placed at the bottom. This adjustment greatly enhances the user experience, making essential controls easily reachable.

New Charging Animation

One UI 7 debuts a fresh charging animation on both the home and lock screens. When connected to a charger, a dynamic pill-shaped bar appears, acting as a charging indicator that displays the charging progress alongside the percentage.

Active Charging Notifications

The pill turns from green to gray, showing the estimated time remaining for a full charge. If you connect the charger while your phone is unlocked, the battery icon slightly enlarges and turns green, signaling active charging.
