Introduction
Do you want to know how you can get access to more than a thousand different micro jobs online by using Microworkers and if it’s really worth it? Then this article is for you.
Many of the viewers have asked me for an updated Microworkers review. Therefore, I decided to write this article where I’ll give you an inside look and show both the pros and cons, along with my personal opinion and experiences. Based on that, you can decide for yourself whether this is the right opportunity for you or not.
Who Can Join Microworkers?
Worldwide Access
Let’s start by going over who can join. Microworkers is a micro-jobs platform where you can join no matter the country you live in. You can see here on the website that it says you can join worldwide, as they have more than a million workers worldwide. So, there definitely are opportunities no matter where you live.
Factors That Affect Opportunities
How good the opportunities are does not necessarily depend too much on the country you live in, but there are some other very important things you need to consider before you join Microworkers. Let me now log in and show you exactly how it works.
How Microworkers Works
Signing Up
I am now logged into Microworkers, and as mentioned, it is free to join. However, be aware that you actually need to share your home address when signing up. That is quite unusual for a Microworkers website, micro-jobs website, or get-paid-to site. But they do ask for that, so it’s one thing to be aware of.
Available Tasks
Once you’re inside, there are a lot of different tasks you can find. You can go to the “Jobs” section, where most of them are listed. As I’m recording this video, there are thousands of available jobs. That’s a lot!
In addition, you can see something they call “partner jobs.” These are basically just paid surveys. However, if you want to do paid surveys, I would suggest not using Microworkers for that. There are specialized survey sites that are much better. I also have a video about the highest-paying survey sites, which I’ll link in the top corner. If surveys are your interest, those options would be better.
Microworkers is more about micro-jobs. You can find all kinds of different jobs here, including testing, surveys, signing up for something, clicking and searching, data collection, and social media tasks.
Important Considerations
Task Quality and Approval
You can browse all jobs or choose categories, though it can be hard to figure out exactly what the categories mean. However, you’ll get familiar with them as you use the platform. For each job, you can see what you will earn, how many people have already completed the task, and the approval rate.
All these jobs are created by other members, so you can also join and create your own microtasks for others to complete. These members approve tasks, and the success rate indicates how often their tasks are approved. For example, if a task creator has approved 90% of submissions, there is a high chance of success if you do the task properly.
Time vs. Reward
Some tasks pay decently for the time, but others do not. Sometimes task descriptions say something will take 5 minutes, but it actually takes 20 minutes. So, be cautious and critical when selecting tasks.
Ethical Concerns
Many tasks are social media-based, such as liking, commenting, or sharing posts. However, some tasks are unethical. For example, you might be asked to manipulate social media algorithms or create fake accounts. I strongly recommend staying away from such tasks. They are unethical and could put your own accounts at risk.
Earning Potential and Payout Options
Rewards
The earning potential on Microworkers is not high. Tasks often pay very low rewards, and there’s a significant processing fee when you withdraw your earnings.
Payout Options
Available withdrawal options include AirTM, PayPal, Skrill, and Payoneer. The payout threshold varies, starting as low as $5 for AirTM, PayPal, and Skrill, but rising to $30 for Payoneer.
However, they charge a 7.5% processing fee, which is quite high compared to other platforms. For me, this is a dealbreaker, especially given the already low rewards for tasks.
To withdraw your earnings, you must verify your account with an ID and phone number. So, if you are uncomfortable with that, you won’t be able to get paid.
Final Verdict
Summary
The earning potential of Microworkers is not very high. Yes, you can find thousands of tasks here, no matter where you live, but the rewards are generally low. Many tasks are unethical, and the high withdrawal fees make it less appealing.
Pros and Cons
There are some fair tasks, but even these offer low rewards. Most tasks are created by other members who set the rates as low as possible.
Recommendations
In summary, Microworkers can be a way to earn extra money if you choose tasks carefully and manage your expectations. However, it’s not a great platform overall.
