Welcome Back to the Buybit Tutorial!
In this article, I’m going to talk about Buybit Futures Trading, and I’ll share a simple trading strategy using moving averages.
Overview of Buybit Features Trading
Why Use Buybit?
Buybit is a powerful platform for futures trading, offering robust tools for technical analysis. If you don’t already have a Buybit account, use the link in the videos description or in my bio to sign up. You can also join our Telegram group, where we share free daily trading signals.
Setting Up for Futures Trading
Switching to Futures Mode
The first thing to do is navigate to the Trade option in the app. By default, the system opens in Spot Trading, but for futures or perpetual contracts, select the Futures option.
Here, you can customize your margin, leverage, and decide whether to go long (buy) or short (sell).
Customizing Your Chart
Accessing the Chart Option
To customize your chart for technical analysis:
- Select the Chart option after switching to Futures Trading.
- Adjust your time frame by clicking on the More option.
- Use the Customize Interval setting to add or remove time frames for quick access in the future.
Applying Indicators
The chart begins with no indicators. Scroll down to access default indicators like Bollinger Bands or Parabolic SAR. These are initially grayed out until activated. Select any indicator to apply it to the chart.
Using the Exponential Moving Average (EMA)
Setting Up the EMA
To use the EMA indicator:
- Click on EMA from the indicator list.
- Customize it by clicking on the Settings icon.
- Uncheck any unnecessary lines (you need only one EMA for this strategy).
- Set the length to 20.
- Adjust the color to your preference and click Confirm.
How to Interpret the EMA
- Uptrend: Candles trading above an upward-facing EMA indicate a buying opportunity.
- Downtrend: Candles trading below a downward-facing EMA indicate a selling opportunity.
Trading with the EMA Strategy
Identifying Trends
The EMA helps identify market trends. Use it on all time frames:
- Buy Signal: Candles trading above the EMA in an uptrend.
- Sell Signal: Candles trading below the EMA in a downtrend.
Avoid Sideways Markets
If the moving average is flat and the market is moving sideways, avoid trading. Wait for a breakout to confirm a trend direction before entering a trade.
