All these kinds of claims make it look like you can really easily earn. And the videos I watched, and I haven’t watched all of them, I’ll admit that, but the ones that I have watched show methods that do have some potential but make it look like you can start now and then earn hundreds of dollars today. Let me just reveal right away that is not exactly how it works.

Therefore, I decided to record this video to explain how it really works because I hate seeing people wasting time and following advice that is just hype. So I’ll explain what you really need to know, and then you can decide for yourself with open eyes whether this is something you want to do or not.
Methods That People Claim to Use for Making Money
Let’s go over some of the methods that I have heard people say you can use to make money with Google Docs and that some of my viewers have also asked me about. Then, I’ll talk a little bit about whether they’re realistic or not and some of the important details that you really need to know. There are, of course, several different methods to do this, and I’ve also heard different explanations and examples of how you can use Google Docs to make money.

But one thing that they all have in common that I have seen, anyways, from the videos, is there are some very, very important things that you are not told. Most of the videos I’ve seen seem to focus more on just getting views and not really helping you. This is at least my opinion. I’m not calling out any single creator because I haven’t watched all of them, so I can’t say this is the case for all. I can just say that this is definitely the case for most of what I’ve seen and heard online and what people have asked me about.
Method 1: Proofreading Jobs
Let’s start talking about one method I’ve seen. I’ll quickly go over that because that’s easy to explain, and then I’ll go more into details about another one that I’ve seen several people talk about.
The Proofreading Claim
The first one here is basically: you have Google Docs (which is free to use), and then they say that you just go and sign up for proofreading jobs, paste what you need to proofread into Google Docs, use the automatic spell checker here to correct it, and send it back for payment. People make it look easy, but they’re not doing it themselves. That’s not how it works. Being a proofreader is more than just using an automatic spell check. It’s about understanding context, making suggestions, and improving the flow.
The Reality of Proofreading Jobs
You can use tools like Grammarly, but they’re not perfect. You can’t just rely on these tools and expect to make a lot of money. You would quickly get kicked out of the proofreading platform if you just did that. Method 2: Affiliate Marketing with Google Docs
Now, let’s talk about the next one: using affiliate marketing and Google Docs. I’ve seen quite a few people claim you can make a lot of money with affiliate marketing and Google Docs, so I want to dive a little deeper into that.

The idea of using affiliate marketing in general to make money online is one that I really like. It’s also how I started myself, and I definitely recommend it for beginners. Affiliate marketing can be a great way to potentially make really good income online, but not necessarily the way I’ve seen some people say it works.
How to Use Google Docs for Affiliate Marketing
The idea is that you have a Google Doc (again, free to use) and share a link to this document. You can make a Google document with different CPA or affiliate offers. One platform some people have talked about is CPALead. You find offers where people can get a free gift card or win something. You copy the link, add it to your Google Doc, and share the document with others.
The Theory Behind CPA Marketing
This theory is based on CPA (Cost Per Acquisition) marketing. For example, people participate in an offer and submit their email, and you get paid for each participant. If enough people participate, you could make good money.
The Problem with This Method
However, there’s a big issue here. What people don’t tell you is that when people sign up for these offers, they often end up sharing their phone number or email, which leads to them being bombarded with ads and calls. This can be misleading and frustrating for users.
Things You Need to Consider
Focus on Quality
If you’re promoting CPA or affiliate marketing offers, you should always focus on quality. Never promote something you don’t truly recommend. Always be transparent about what people can expect. Promoting offers without transparency is a short-sighted and selfish way to make money.
The Importance of Traffic
The next thing to consider is traffic. It’s fine to have your Google Docs with affiliate links, but you need traffic to make sales. Generating traffic can sound easy, but it is not.

Creators who claim you can get a lot of traffic by using AI-generated posts for Instagram or Medium articles are promoting a lazy approach. While AI can help you, it can’t replace actual work. Don’t fall for creators who say you don’t have to think long-term or put in the work.

Instead, find someone who can teach you realistic methods. Take a course that teaches you quality affiliate marketing techniques without all the hype.
Realistic Affiliate Marketing Courses
Look for courses that emphasize hard work and long-term goals, where you’ll learn real ways to drive traffic and build a sustainable business. AI is a tool to help you work more efficiently, but not a shortcut to overnight success.
