Intro to Hive Micro Review
Do you want to know how you can get paid to train AI by, for example, drawing boxes and doing other small simple tasks? Then this video is for you. So let’s start by going over who can join. The platform I’m talking about is called Hive Micro. You can join it both through a computer on the website, and you can see it also has an app for both iOS and Android devices, which is actually quite unusual for a platform like this. You can join it from many different countries. You can scroll down here on the website and see that they have more than one and a half million users from over different countries. So you can basically join it from all countries as far as I know. But let’s talk a little bit more about what types of tasks you will do, and then I’ll log in and show you some examples. We’ll also talk about how you can get paid and the full earning potential.
Types of Jobs
Hive Micro offers quite a few different types of tasks, many of which are meant to train AI. Sometimes they need human eyes to do this. This is where you come in: you can get paid to do these small, simple tasks. These tasks can come from small startups, universities, or larger companies to solve big problems like banning hate speech, making videos searchable, building autonomous vehicles, and other tasks where human input is needed to, for example, draw boxes around certain elements or categorize things by drawing boxes. There are also some different audio transcription tasks. You’ll see more examples once I log in, and we’ll talk more about that.
How It Works
So, I have now logged into Hive Micro. You can create a free account; it doesn’t cost anything to be a member or anything like that. Then you can find the different jobs. New jobs are added regularly, and once they’re filled out, they will be removed. You can sort the tasks by salary or difficulty and go through them.
What is very important to be aware of is that they have these qualification tests. To qualify for the paid tasks, you first need to spend some time taking these tests. Based on my experience, sometimes they can be fairly simple, but other times they can be a bit confusing. If you don’t meet a certain requirement, you won’t be able to qualify for the paid tasks. Some jobs are easier to qualify for than others, so that’s something to be aware of.
Payout Options
Before starting any online job, it’s important to consider how you can get paid to ensure it offers a payout method that suits you. Hive Micro offers PayPal and Bitcoin as payment options, which I think are good options. However, you need to earn at least $5 to withdraw. In my personal opinion, this is a high payout threshold for a microtask or data-entry platform. It might take a while to reach this threshold, which means it’ll take patience and time. But that’s something to be aware of before you start.
Earning Potential
Now, let’s talk about how much you can earn. If you look at the different tasks, you can see how much you can earn per task. I’ve seen some tasks that pay up to $0.10, but it can also be much less. The important thing to remember is that this is not per task, but per 100 tasks. So, for example, you would have to complete 100 tasks to earn $0.10. It takes patience and time to earn, and it’s not for everyone.
Final Verdict
Hive Micro can be a way to earn by doing AI training tasks. It can be interesting, or at least it’s easy to get started with. But it can also be very draining. Personally, it’s not something for me because I think it’s just too boring, and the value you get for your time is too low. You would have to spend hours just to earn a few dollars. But some people love this type of work and will be happy to do it. The great thing is that you can do it from anywhere, from all countries. You just need to be aware that it takes time to reach the payout threshold because it is quite high.
