Intro to the Best Passive Income Apps
Are you looking for apps that pay automatically so you can earn a bit of extra money without any effort at all completely for free? Then this video is for you. My name is Mikael and I tested hundreds of different ways to make money online. And many viewers have asked me for an updated list of the current best apps you can install and then just earn completely passively. And in this video, I will show you my top seven recommended options for this.
What to Expect
Before going over the options I want to show you, I just want to clarify what you can expect so you can find out if this is for you or not because passive income has become a very overused term and often also misused term. Because you will see many videos, many articles, a lot of content on social media where it looks like you can just click a few buttons and then you will earn hundreds of dollars per day. And that is just not the reality of making money online.
There are of course ways where you potentially can build it up to a really great income so you also earn when you are not working, but that does not mean that you are never working. That is just not realistic. If you want to earn without any effort at all, where you can just take a few minutes and then you will earn passively, then of course, the income will be limited. But there are methods that will actually let you earn completely passively. And in this video, those are the methods that I will focus on.
So I will show you something that just takes a few minutes to set up. Once that’s done, you do not have to do anything extra that you wouldn’t usually do in many cases. You just use your computer or your phone as you usually would and then you will earn in the background. It will not make you rich or anything like that. It will not make you a full-time income, but there are methods that are legit. I have been paid by all of them, so I know they actually do work. You just need to set it up, and then you can earn a bit of extra money on the side without any investment, without any effort.
Starting with Number 7: Nielsen Computer and Mobile Panel
The exact methods that are best for you might vary a little bit depending on your personal preferences, your location, and all this. And you can choose to use one of them, two of them, three of them, all of them. That’s completely up to you. So let’s now get to the list and I’ll go over everything so you can find out which options are the right for you.
Best Passive Income Apps – Position 7: Nielsen Computer and Mobile Panel
We have Nielsen Computer and Mobile Panel. And this is only available in select countries. I do have a full list of all these options here on my website. And there you can also find the links to the countries they are currently recruiting in. But it is a panel, as the name suggests, you can use both on computer and phone. And you then just install it and then it tracks how you use the internet anonymously. Of course, all this data will be put together with all the participants and it will be used for market research. Exactly how much you can earn by doing this will vary depending on the country you live in. But it will not be a lot. You can see here it can, for example, be like up to $ there. They also have some extra games you can win by participating in and also sometimes you will get invitations for exclusive surveys if you participate in this, and you will get paid extra for that.
Better Options Available
So as a way to earn a little bit extra just by having it installed on your devices, it can definitely be worth checking out. But there are better options in my personal opinion. And we’ll keep going over some more options so you can find out which are the best for you.
Number 6: Honeygain
Next, we have Honeygain, and if you’ve heard about passive income apps, you have probably heard about this. It actually used to be one of my top recommended options, but they keep changing things and sometimes not always for the better. I have experienced several times that I build up an income and then they change some things and then my earnings drop quite significantly. And I’ve heard the same for others, so it’s no longer my top recommended option because it is a little bit unstable in my opinion. Passive Earning with Honeygain
But the fact is that it is still a passive way to earn. You just need to install it. You can use it both on phones and computer, and then you will earn by sharing your unused internet bandwidth. It used to be five, then it was two, right now as of recording this video, it is three. But I cannot guarantee if it will not change. Number 5: Swagbucks
The next platform I want to talk about is called Swagbucks, and you will probably say that Swagbucks is a get-paid-to site, so you actually need to do tasks to earn, and that is definitely true. It is one of the biggest get-paid-to sites. But the reason I put it in this video here about apps and websites where you can earn automatically is because it does have an option where you can earn without doing anything extra.
Earning Automatically with Swagbucks
If you ever shop online, then you can just use, for example, the Swagbucks extension for your browser or go inside the platform. It has a lot of these cashback offers. And that means whenever you’re shopping online, if you’re using one of the partner stores, you will earn a percentage of whatever you spend back into your Swagbucks account, so you’re not doing anything extra. You’re just doing your regular online shopping. You will just get a percentage back into your Swagbucks, and then you can choose to get paid in PayPal, Payoneer, AirTM, or many different gift cards depending on the country you live in.
Number 4: Crypto.com
Next option is Crypto.com, and this is a crypto exchange, and it has an app that is really user-friendly for beginners. And the reason that I have it here in this video of apps that pay automatically or where you can earn passively is because in addition to, of course, buying and selling crypto in there, it also has options to take crypto that you already have or you use some of the platforms that I’m showing you here to earn crypto for free without investment, then you take it out into Crypto.com and then it has this earn option where you can earn percentages of interest just by having your crypto standing there. Or you can also stake it depending on the cryptos you have and then earn passively that way.

In addition to that, it actually has the opportunity to get a Visa card so you can spend your crypto very easily. And whenever you do that, you will also earn a percentage back. Next, we have Survey Junkie, and Survey Junkie is known mainly as a paid survey site you can use in the US, Canada, and Australia. And it can be really great for that.
Surf to Earn Option
But it also has something called Surf to Earn, where you just need to install it, and then you will earn just by having it installed. It will again collect data that will be used anonymously for market research. It used to be called Survey Junkie Pulse, but now it is called Surf to Earn. If you live in one of the countries it’s available, it’s definitely worth checking out Survey Junkie as a survey site but also then use this opportunity to earn some extra money passively.
Number 2: Grass (GetGrass)
We are getting closer to the top, and here we have GetGrass or just call Grass also. You can install this here on different devices, and they keep developing it for other devices also, and you will then earn just by sharing your unused internet bandwidth.

You can join it from more or less all countries, but currently, there are some countries where there are some crypto restrictions, so you can’t actually get paid. Also, be aware that how it is right now, it does not pay out immediately. You need to earn and then at certain periods, it has these airdrops where you can claim your earnings. So that’s just something to be aware of.

But out of all the different passive options that I have tested where you, for example, also can earn by sharing your unused internet bandwidth, this is one of the options that pay the most, and you will get paid in its own crypto called Grass, and it is something that you will then get into a Solana wallet, and you can then just hold on to it if you believe that the Grass token will increase in value, or you can swap it for other crypto very easily.
Number 1: Pawns
At the top, we have Pawns. And Pawns is another way you can both earn passively and actively. And in this video here, we are focusing on the passive aspect, but the active ways are you actually earn by playing games and taking surveys and doing other small tasks. But it started as a way to earn passively, and it still offers that opportunity.

You can use it on your phone, on your computer. You just install it, and then you will earn in the background by sharing your unused internet bandwidth. And you can do this from all countries. You only need to earn $1 to get paid, and you can then get paid in Bitcoin, PayPal, Payeer in some countries, as you can see here it even offers bank transfer or Venmo, and it also has a lot of gift cards to choose from.

And these are the best that I have come across out of hundreds of different free online earning options that I have tested. They will not make you rich, it’s important to be aware of that. But you really do not have to do anything extra once you just set it up, and that is the beauty of it. So even though it won’t make you rich, a little bit of extra money without any effort is of course still nice, at least in my opinion.
