5 Easy Ways to Earn Free PayPal Money in Your Spare Time (2025 Guide)

Intro

Hey everyone, it’s Tom here with thisonlineworld.com. We hope you’re all having a fantastic day today. So, I made a few videos on this channel before about getting free stuff, like my video on how to get free Amazon gift cards, and I’ve even made a video before on how to get free PayPal cash. So, I thought I’d come back for round two, and in this video, I’m going to share five legit ways you can get some free PayPal money in your spare time. The five methods I’m going to share in this video are incredibly easy to start, so anyone can try them out. And one of them even pays up to a hundred dollars in free PayPal money and takes pretty much no work on your part. So, you’re going to want to watch this one until the end. Let’s get to it. Alright, so…

JustPlay App

How JustPlay Works

The first method you can use to get free PayPal cash in your spare time is to use a gaming rewards app called JustPlay. So, if you enjoy playing games and you have an Android device—sorry Apple users, this one isn’t for you—you can download JustPlay, start playing new games on your phone, and earn bits of PayPal cash in your spare time.

Rewards and Cash-Out Options

So, JustPlay is basically like other gaming reward apps like Mistplay, Rewarded Play, and it pays you with coins for playing new games. You can then cash out those coins every three hours. PayPal is one of the reward options, alongside a lot of different free gift cards. And what’s really nice about JustPlay, unlike a lot of other gaming reward apps, is that there’s no minimum cash-out requirements. So, you can download games, play them, and then cash out in your first three hours to PayPal.

Is It Worth Your Time?

Now, it’s not really a high-paying app like these other gaming apps out there, so keep that in mind. I played JustPlay, you know, just to test it out for a while, and I earned about a few cents worth of PayPal after trying a game for a while. So, again, it’s not going to make you quit your day job or make you hundreds of dollars, but it is a pretty fun side hustle. And if you already spend time every day or every week playing games on your Android phone, you might as well get paid for it and check out the games on JustPlay to see if there’s some that interest you. It has lots of different ones like adventure, action, puzzle, and card games. So, plenty of games out there on JustPlay, and it adds new games all the time, so there’s usually something you can play and have some fun with.

Pogo App

How Pogo Works

Alright, and the second way you can start getting some free PayPal money every month is to use an app called Pogo. And if you like the idea of getting paid to shop and you want to earn some passive income for pretty much no effort whatsoever, then Pogo could be the app for you. So, Pogo is a free rewards app that’s available in the United States, and it pays you with small amounts of PayPal money every single time you shop.

Setting Up and Earning Passive Income

Using the app is also very simple. All you have to do is download Pogo, connect your bank account to the app, and then you start getting paid small amounts of PayPal money every time you shop and transact with a linked card. Pogo works with Plaid, which is the same fintech company a lot of other apps like Drop use to securely connect to your bank account, so it does take security pretty seriously. And again, you pretty much just connect your accounts, and then you start shopping.

How You Earn Points and Cash Out

Pogo is basically purchasing that data from you and paying you with small amounts of points. You can cash out your points once you earn three dollars worth of points. And again, Pogo pays right to PayPal, so it’s a pretty easy passive method to get some PayPal cash. You can also answer these in-app surveys on Pogo to earn points faster, and they pay more than shopping. But again, if you don’t want surveys, you just want to keep it passive, you can still just shop and earn with Pogo.

Branded Surveys

How Branded Surveys Works

Alright, and the third idea you can use to make a bit of free PayPal money in your spare time is to use Branded Surveys. So, Branded Surveys is a leading survey site that pays you for sharing your opinion, and it’s available in the United States, Canada, the UK, and Australia. It’s completely free to sign up for, and once you complete your profile, you can start answering surveys about all sorts of topics like entertainment, politics, health, shopping—you name it.

Survey Earnings and Cash-Out Options

And so, again, it’s a pretty stock-standard survey site—like, there’s nothing crazy going on here. You basically complete your profile, start answering surveys, and you’re usually going to earn about a few cents to maybe a dollar, maybe a dollar fifty or two dollars for every survey you complete. What’s nice about Branded Surveys is you can then cash out at just five dollars, so it’s a pretty, you know, decent survey site in that regard. You don’t have to earn $10 like you do with some other survey sites. You just cash out at five dollars. PayPal cash is an option, and there’s also dozens of free gift cards you can choose as well.

Branded Elite Program

But what I really like about Branded Surveys, versus a lot of other survey sites out there, is its Branded Elite program. So, this is basically its own loyalty program that pays its most active users with bonus points at the end of the month. So, if you answer enough surveys, you get placed in a Branded Elite tier, and then at the end of the month, you get free cash for being an active member. So, if you’re really grinding out surveys and you spend a lot of time on this kind of online money-making idea, I think Branded Surveys is good because you get bonus cash at the end of every month. It usually has a one-dollar sign-up bonus as well to help you get started.

PayPal Referral Program

How the Referral Program Works

The fourth idea you can use to get up to a hundred dollars in free PayPal cash is to actually just invite people you know to join PayPal. I didn’t know this until recently, but PayPal actually has its own referral program, and it pays you with ten dollars if you invite someone to join PayPal and they spend five dollars. The person you invite also gets ten dollars, so it is a win-win scenario.

Sign-Up Bonus for You and Your Friend

Now, this is honestly a pretty easy sign-up bonus to complete. Like, you can just invite some of your friends who aren’t on PayPal, they spend up to five dollars on some online purchase, or they spend more than five dollars, and everyone gets ten dollars. So, it’s a nice win-win, like I said. The one downside of this is you can only invite up to 10 people, so it caps at 10. But again, if you and your friends are looking for some free PayPal cash and a lot of you haven’t joined PayPal yet, it’s a pretty easy low-hanging fruit kind of thing you can try out.

Microtask Sites

What Are Microtask Websites?

The fifth and final idea you can use to get some free PayPal money in your spare time is to start working with various microtask websites. So, microtask websites are websites that pay you for completing short online tasks, like the name suggests. And so, some examples of common gigs you might get paid to do include data entry work, social media moderation, transcription, and image annotation.

Earning Through Microtask Work

So, working with microtask sites really isn’t glamorous. I tested out a bunch in the past, and you’re really making about maybe five, six, seven dollars an hour with a lot of the leading sites out there. But on the flip side, it’s fairly globally available, and you can do it in your spare time, so it’s quite flexible. On top of that, a lot of leading microtask websites let you sign up and get paid through PayPal, so you can kind of do these short online tasks in your spare time and then make a bit of PayPal money for your efforts. Clickworker is a perfect example. You can sign up in dozens of countries and then start completing short online tasks to make money, and then it lets you cash out to PayPal once you earn at least ten dollars.

Other Ideas

Anyways, guys, those are another five legit and kind of quick and easy ways you can use to make some extra PayPal cash in your spare time. These ideas really aren’t going to make you rich, but like kind of my first video, this is just a fun little side hustle so you can try in your spare time if you’re looking to make some extra money. You don’t need previous experience, it’s not too complicated, and you can get started pretty much anytime you want.

Now, that said, I still think options like freelancing and selling your skills and then getting paid through PayPal or something like blogging and then getting paid through PayPal through various affiliate programs are a lot more lucrative. So, just think about the opportunity cost here. If you’re, you know, using survey sites all day, or if you’re using Clickworker all day, there are a lot more lucrative options out there. They just take longer to set up. So, you know, that’s kind of the trade-off you have to think about. I made a video recently on some online business ideas you can start. I have other videos on the channel about, you know, freelancing marketplaces you can use or how to become a freelancer. So again, lots of other more lucrative options out there. But hopefully, this video at least helps you make some PayPal cash in your spare time, and it’s pretty easy to do. So, I hope one of the ideas works for you. Also, if there’s an idea I missed, or there’s a PayPal money-making method you’re using and enjoying, I’d love to hear about it down below so other people can chat about it. That really does it for this one, guys. Thank you so much for watching, and as always, don’t forget to check out thisonlineworld.com for more unique ways to make and save money. I’ll catch you guys in the next one.
